Afua Tekyi-Mills is the Head of the Corporate Affairs Division of the GIPC. She has been employed with the Centre since 2008 and has over 13 years of experience in the areas of marketing, communications and event management. Her experience has been key to the success of several high level local and international engagements for the GIPC such as several editions of the prestigious Ghana Club 100 Awards, various investment promotion missions and stakeholder engagements key to the promotion of partnership and investment into Ghana.

Prior to joining the GIPC in 2008, Afua worked as a Senior Image Executive at Perfect Relations Pvt. Limited in India, where she consulted on the promotion of brands and visibility for several international companies and entities. She has also worked in business development and support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Ghana, focusing on restructuring operation and improving the marketability of businesses.

In her current role, Afua is responsible for organizing local and international events, missions, and campaigns that aim to encourage business and partnerships towards increasing foreign direct investment in Ghana. Additionally, she ensures the effective collaboration between the Centre and relevant government agencies, private sector, foreign missions in Ghana, and Ghana’s missions abroad in implementing promotional efforts aimed at making Ghana the preferred investment destination in Africa.

Afua holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Applications and a Master’s degree in Business Administration in Finance and Marketing from Jamia Hamdard University in India. She is also a certified Project Management Professional, demonstrating her expertise in leading and managing complex projects.
