Mr. Gideon Baffoe is a Principal Investment Promotion Officer of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre. He oversees the Management Information System (MIS) department that is responsible for planning, implementing and managing application systems and IT infrastructure.
He has over ten years of professional experience. He has handled day-to-day tactical management of IT services working with both private and government institutions. He has worked on the implementation of application systems such as Enterprise Asset Management, Inventory Management, Human Resource, Payroll and Financials Management, Performance Management, Learning Management, Analytics and Business Intelligence Technology and Data Warehouse Systems.
Prior to joining the Centre in 2016, Gideon Baffoe held a position as a Technical Consultant from 2010 to 2016. He was with SSNIT Informal Sector Fund (SISF) as a Systems Programmer Analyst from 2008 to 2009. He also taught as a Senior Information Technology Instructor at the Takoradi Technical University in 2008 after serving as a Teaching Assistant with the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) from 2007 to 2008.
Mr. Baffoe studied master’s degree in Informatics with Blekinge Institute of Technology, Sweden as well as Bachelor of Science Computer Science from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana. He is also Oracle Business Intelligence Foundation Suite 11g Certified Implementation Specialist.
