Magaret Ekuah Prah is a management consultant, lawyer, and former diplomat who served as Ghana’s high commissioner to Zambia and Malawi from 2017 to 2020.
Ms Prah’s long and illustrious career began in 1977, when she accepted a position at the Bank of Ghana’s governor’s secretariat. Years later, she relocated to Massachusetts, where she worked primarily as a management consultant. When she returned to Ghana, she worked as a consultant for some of the country’s top audit firms, including Deloitte, Price Waterhouse Coopers, and Ernst and Young.
Madam Prah has served as a non-executive director for South Akim Manufacturing Company Ltd, the Ghana Audit Service Board, Barclays Bank of Ghana Limited, Savanna Farmers Marketing Company Ltd, SIC Insurance Company Ltd, as well as Chairperson for Labadi beach hotel and Accion International microfinance in Cambridge Massachusetts.
Madam Prah was the founder of Margotex Ventures and Textiles Plus, textile retailers in Makola Market and Kaneshie until the business was liquidated in 2018.
Magaret Ekuah Prah is a graduate of Leeds University in the United Kingdom and Murray Edwards College (New Hall) Cambridge University, where she earned a double honors degree in English and History as well as a law degree.
