Margaret Ekuah Prah is a highly accomplished professional with a diverse background in management consulting, law, and diplomacy. She served as Ghana’s High Commissioner to Zambia and Malawi from 2017 to 2020, significantly contributing to the country’s international relations.

Ms. Prah began her career in 1977 when she accepted a position at the governor’s secretariat of the Bank of Ghana. After several years, she relocated to Massachusetts, where she worked primarily as a management consultant. Upon returning to Ghana, she worked as a consultant for some of the country’s top audit firms, including Deloitte, Price Waterhouse Coopers, and Ernst & Young.

Ms. Prah has served as a non-executive director for several reputable organizations, including South Akim Manufacturing Company Ltd., the Ghana Audit Service Board, Barclays Bank of Ghana Limited, Savanna Farmers Marketing Company Ltd., and SIC Insurance Company Ltd. She has also served as Chairperson for Labadi Beach Hotel and Accion International Microfinance in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Ms. Prah’s entrepreneurial skills are evidenced by her founding of Margotex Ventures and Textiles Plus, textile retailers in Makola Market and Kaneshie. Despite the liquidation of the business in 2018, her leadership and vision contributed significantly to its success.

Ms. Prah is a distinguished alumna of both Leeds University in the United Kingdom and Murray Edwards College (New Hall) at Cambridge University, where she earned a double honors degree in English and history as well as a law degree. Her educational background, combined with her extensive professional experience, has made her a valuable asset to the Ghanaian community and beyond.
