Alex Apau Dadey, the current Board Chairman of the GIPC, is a renowned entrepreneur and philanthropist with a successful career spanning over 30 years. He has worked across various industries, including fintech, logistics, agriculture, property development, and commerce, where he has held several C-suite positions and served on the boards of multiple institutions. Mr Dadey’s formative career began in the United Kingdom in 1986, where he rose through the ranks to become Export Sales Director at Gordon Richman Textiles Ltd. Later, he set up a joint venture, Qualitexx Limited, with DCD Finance Group PLC, based in London.

In recent years, Mr Alex Dadey established the KGL Group, a wholly-owned Ghanaian group consisting of six subsidiaries operating in several jurisdictions and multiple sectors. He serves as the Executive Chairman of the group, which includes Fintech, Logistics, Agriculture, Property Development, and Commerce. Under his direction, the KGL Group has sponsored major events, such as the Diaspora Investment Summit 2021, the GIPC Diaspora Investment Summit, and the Ghana Investment and Opportunities Summit 2020 in London. As part of their corporate social responsibility, the group has also been a major sponsor of the Ghana National Soccer Team (the Black Stars) in their 2021/22 AFCON and World Cup campaigns.

Alex’s contribution towards investment promotion in Ghana has been recognized, and he was appointed to the Governing Board of the GIPC in 2018. He is a strong advocate for Diaspora inclusion in Ghana’s development agenda and is credited with initiating the Ghana Diaspora Homecoming Summit in 2017 and the Ghana Investment and Opportunities Summit UK in 2018, both of which are now held biennially. Alex is a product of Mfantsipim School, Cape Coast, and holds a BSc. (Admin.) degree from the University of Ghana Business School, Legon.
