Robert Ahomka-Lindsay is an entrepreneur and an investment & finance specialist. He is the currently CEO of Lindsay Capital Ltd, a small Specialized Finance and Advisory Company focused on providing tailored services to clients.
He served as a Deputy Minister responsible for Industry under Ghana’s Ministry of Trade & Industry, from 2017 to 2021. Prior to that (2007 – 2009), he was the CEO of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC).
His most recent corporate role was as the Vice President Coca-Cola Africa Group (1999 to 2006). He has over twenty-years’ experience within the International Banking and Finance sector in Europe, the United States and Africa. He served as the Eastern African Regional Director for the CDC Group / Actis, where he was responsible for the origination, analysis, and execution of new business in Kenya, Ethiopia, Djibouti, Eritrea, Rwanda, Sudan, and Seychelles.
From 1990 to 1995, he was an Executive with the NatWest Bank in the United Kingdom, with responsibility for credit risk, project finance, regulation and management, Aerospace lending, corporate and business management, leasing, and asset finance.
He has served on over thirty (30) Boards in various countries and institutions in Africa, Europe, and North America. His most recent role in Ghana included Chairman of the Board of CAL Bank, Ghana EXIM Bank, and Chairman of the Board of Metropolitan Insurance Company. He has also served on the World Bank’s Economic Advisory Councils of 6 African Presidents in Ghana, Tanzania, Uganda, Mali, and Senegal.
Ahomka-Lindsay has amassed extensive experience in dealings with national and regional governments, the Bretton Woods Institutions, and the private sector, across Africa, Europe, Asia, and the United States. He holds a bachelor’s degree (Honors) in Economics from the University of Sussex (UK), and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Chicago (USA).
